Growing up I always loved making things, cutting and sticking was the best! I collaged my bedroom with pictures of flowers, knitted with plastic bags and wire. This led me to my degree at Derby University in Textile Design, I always thought I’d be a knitter but after many failed attempts and the pieces falling of the Knitting machines, I found myself falling for Weave! After graduating I was lucky enough to work in the Interior textile industry in London but always wanting to weave again but with no loom, When out of the blue I inherited some money from my great Aunt, I knew exactly what to do with it: a trip to Peru and purchased a second hand loom!

Travelling is a big part of my inspiration, I love seeing weaving around the world still at the sides of the streets. I was super excited to have my ‘Handmade by Daisy’ stamp made on the streets of Hanoi,

I create all my own designs from scratch and like fun bright colours! Weaving has endless possibilities but also limitations which I have to work with to make a balanced cloth. Love working to briefs or commissions give me an idea and I will see if I can weave it?

I have an Etsy shop you can see what I have currently for sale, new items frequently added. If you like something featured on my site but its not in the shop please contact me about making you one.

Keep up to date with new projects on my Instagram.
